Appearance: Standing at an impressive four feet in height, Lilo is a stocky little girl with black hair that falls to her backside and brown eyes. Her complexion is tanned, a reflection of her Hawaiian decent and the time she spends outside. Often, she wears a red mu'umu'u, which comes to her knees, and a pair of sandals, perfect attire for the Hawaiian weather. Lilo can also be found in a pink tube top with a grass skirt, bracelets and crown. This is her hula attire, and she typically only wears it for dancing.
Personality: Lilo is an spirited energetic youngster, playful and bright in nature. She has some rather eccentric tastes, and is very fond of horror and science fiction movies. Despite ostracization from girls her own age because of her "weirdness," Lilo is a creative individual who continues to do things her own way, despite other people's opinions. She has a flair for photography, and loves to take pictures of tourists on the island. She also loves to hula dance, and is very driven in trying to find the "one true place" for all of Stitch's cousins, and idolizes Elvis Presley. Lilo is very caring, and lives by the phrase "Ohana means family; family means nobody gets left behind."
Abilities/Weaponry: Although still a youngster, Lilo has a knack for helping people, especially alien experiments created by Jumba. She is a young photographer, skilled in the portraiture of tourists for her own desires, and is a fair hand at getting people to do things. She also has a gift for hula, and for creativity, as evidenced in her hula stories.
Weaknesses: Lilo's unique personality has made it hard to gather friends as they are often turned off by her strange perspective. Being a child, she lacked the height and strength to throw her weight around and get her way. She has difficulty in getting things from high places, making purchases that require adults, entering movies geared toward older audiences, and, in fact, in living on her own.
History: Born on the island of Kaua'i in Hawaii, Lilo spent a good bit of her life with her parents and her older sister Nani, and took to hula after her mother, who was a hula dancer. The loss of their parents to a car accident left Lilo in the care of Nani, and it seemed like their lifestyle was taking a turn for the worse. The adoption of Stitch into the Pelekai family seemed to smooth over the fact that Nani was having trouble holding down a job, and could possibly lose Lilo to foster care.
Stitch, as Lilo was soon to discover, was not actually a dog, but rather an alien, and with that discovery came a plethora of problems, including the fact that Stitch was wanted by the Galactic Federation for being an evil experiment and had several different people, er, aliens... after him.
The family has hit some rough patches, most notably when Stitch was almost taken away from Lilo by the Galactic Federation, but things have smoothed out since. Pleakly and Jumba, who had been trying to catch Stitch, have since joined Lilo's family, as have some of Stitch's "cousins," as Lilo endeavors to find them their "one true place" on Earth.
